Date: Thursday, March 14, 2024
Time: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM (MT)

Overview

This virtual session explores how nature-based interventions can be integrated into social work practice to support client mental health. Presented by Joanna Bettmann Schaefer and Morgan Hadden, the talk highlights research showing that even brief exposure to nature can reduce stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. The session introduces ParkRx, a national initiative that helps providers “prescribe” time outdoors, and demonstrates how social workers can translate research into practical, no-cost strategies to improve client well-being.
