Overview

This virtual talk explores the intersection of psychedelics, resilience, and mental health within social work practice and research. Led by Dr. Yitong Xin, the presentation examines the acute and long-term effects of ayahuasca, including psychosocial and psychospiritual outcomes, and how resilience shapes these experiences. The session also discusses how psychedelic experiences may influence substance use patterns and mental health outcomes, offering an innovative lens for understanding substance use and well-being. Part of the Social Work Beyond the Classroom series, the event highlights emerging research relevant to social workers and behavioral health professionals.
