Substance Use Disorder Treatment Training

The Substance Use Disorder Counseling specialization focuses on building the knowledge and treatment skills needed to support individuals with substance use disorders and their families. Grounded in evidence-based approaches, this specialization prepares students to understand substance use, treatment, and recovery within real-world systems of care.

Within Human and Health Services, the focus is on improving the quality of substance use disorder treatment and care delivery, aligning student learning with workforce needs and community impact across Utah.
